Like most websites, this site uses cookies. This page explains what they are, which ones we use and how you can control them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. They let the site remember things between pages or visits, such as whether you’ve been here before.
How we use them
- Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies to count visits and show us which pages are useful, so we can improve the site. We see the results as totals and trends, not as named people.
- Comments. If you comment on a blog post and choose to save your details, a cookie remembers them for next time.
- Site management. WordPress sets cookies for the people who log in to look after the site. Visitors don’t get these.

Similar technologies
The site also keeps a few small settings in your browser, such as whether you’ve already seen the opening animation. They stay on your device and aren’t used to track you.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking analytics cookies won’t stop the site working. To switch off Google Analytics without changing anything else, install Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle the information cookies collect.
Changes to this policy
If we add or remove cookies, we’ll update this page. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
